Beth is something of an optimist. As insane people move in, art comes out. Problems have solutions, she believes, and she’s willing to try them all. Case in point: when the source of her inspiration dries up and leaves her work glaringly incomplete, she has no trouble admitting that a proper last-resort scenario is kindly making sure her upstairs neighbours haven’t died.
Beth is also something of a realist. Oh God, these people are going to murder her.
